I built my first website when I was in high school. In 1997. It had a black background, a bunch of animated gifs and it played a song when you loaded the page.
Web design has come a long way since then.
I now do web design and devlopment professionally for Mandate Media. I love what I do. So much so that I even do it when I'm not at work.
I like to help non-profits and other nice folks get the websites they need - nothing too flashy, but websites that help them spread their message without costing them an arm and a leg; websites that look pretty, and that don't require a degree in Computer Science to maintain.
